The Shield Savings 4000 plan is an HSA compatible plan offered by Blue Shield of California. The annual deductible for this plan is $4,000, which also serves as the out-of-pocket limit. There is no lifetime maximum. Preventive care is provided at no additional cost, and for office visits, Blue Shield covers 100% of the cost after the deductible has been met. Prescription drug coverage is for generic and brand name drugs. Once the deductible has been reached, members make a $10 copayment for generic medications, and a $35 copayment for brand name drugs.
