ObamaCare Arizona: 5 Insurance Providers
Arizona will have a federally led Health Insurance Marketplace. The five insurance providers that will sell insurance to Arizonians are Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Cigna, Health Net and Meritus for the Affordable Care Act Bronze Plan, Silver Plan, Gold Plan, and Platinum Plan.
Arizona Health Plan Rates
Plans submitted for approval have an average range of $225 to $334 according to the Arizona Central. The news source also claims that plans may be lower than $100 a month to as much as $1,700. Due to the ACA law there is maximum of 3:1 from oldest to youngest (64-21 years of age). This large rate range is a bit suspect, but without Arizona’s figures readily available we’ll have to wait until the Exchange opens on October 1, 2013 to confirm.
Subsidies for Arizona
These above figures do not include premium subsidies and cost-sharing subsidies to help with monthly costs and help with costs when you seek medical care, respectively.
